Shailer Park High NAPLAN News

It’s now official. Shailer Park State High School has led the way in Logan after the release of the 2016 Yr 9 NAPLAN results, showing sustained major improvement over two years. We have scored more highly than John Paul College on three out of five measures and more highly than Chisholm Catholic College on four out of five measures.

Shailer Park High also bucked the state trend of poor results in writing for Yr 9 students, improving by a whopping 19 points on mean scaled scores. This is on top of a 48 point gain from 2014-2015.

Some significant highlights of Shailer Park High’s Yr 9 NAPLAN performance include:

• Substantially above Like Schools on ALL measures
• Above Qld State Schools on ALL measures
• Above the Nation on 3 out of 5 Yr 9 measures

Our school’s results are the end product of the hard work of our students and staff. They reflect a relentless commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
